ExperClinic is a patient communication platform for small-animal, mixed-practice, equine, and exotic veterinary clinics. After every visit, clients get an SMS with two options: leave a Google review or send private feedback. The same platform handles annual recall for vaccines and wellness exams, plus appointment reminders for surgical and dental procedures.

What it does

What veterinary clinics use ExperClinic for

Three jobs that match how vet practices actually run.

1

Annual vaccination recall

All four vet practice types ship with a 365-day recall window tuned to annual checkups and vaccinations. ExperClinic checks every day for pets past due and sends a customizable SMS. The window is configurable for senior pets or specific protocols.

2

Reviews after every visit

Pet owners are emotionally driven reviewers, both positive and negative. A timely review request after a great visit captures that goodwill before the moment passes. Reviews land on your Google Business Profile, where new clients in your area decide between you and the next clinic over.

3

Reminders for visits that matter

48-hour and 24-hour reminders ship default-on for all four veterinary types. Equine and exotic appointments often involve travel or special accommodations, so the reminders include the time, your phone number, and a call-to-reschedule option.

The problem

Why veterinary clinics live and die by Google reviews

Three problems that under-served vet clinics know intimately.

Search visibility

"Vet near me" is the most-trusted search a pet owner makes.

People research vets more carefully than they research most providers, because a pet's life feels personal in a way that an annual physical does not. Reviews and recency dominate that search. A great vet with 40 reviews loses to a mediocre one with 400.

Emotion

One bad outcome can produce a brutal 1-star review.

Pet owners attach more emotion to a vet visit than to most healthcare visits. When something goes wrong, the public review can be devastating. Every owner receives the same SMS with the same two options: a public Google review or private feedback to the practice. The owner chooses. ExperClinic never routes by expected sentiment.

Recall

Annual vaccinations are easy for owners to forget.

Most pet owners book one wellness visit and then never think about it again until they get a postcard or a phone call. Manual recall by phone is too tedious for most clinics. Automatic SMS recall keeps owners on schedule and keeps your appointment book full.

How it helps

How does ExperClinic help veterinary clinics?

Five capabilities, all included on every plan.

365-day annual recall

Default-on for all four vet practice types. Configurable per practice for shorter senior-pet windows or specific protocols.

Post-visit review requests

Sent at the optimal time of day after every completed visit. Every owner sees the same two options in the same SMS: leave a public Google review, or send private feedback. The owner chooses. ExperClinic never routes by expected sentiment.

48h and 24h reminders

Two SMS reminders per scheduled appointment, all four vet types. Equine and exotic reminders include practice phone for rescheduling.

Multi-vet support

Add associate veterinarians, technicians, and visiting specialists. Dr. and DVM ship as defaults, with VMD as an alternate. Reviews and feedback attribute correctly.

Private-feedback alerts

When a pet owner submits private feedback after a difficult visit, the practice owner gets an immediate email. That gives you a chance to address the concern before it lands on Google.

84%
of patients check online reviews before booking a healthcare provider.
25%
average increase in new patient inquiries within 6 months of improving online reviews.
52%
of patients who left a negative review had never been contacted to address their concern.
FAQ

Common questions from veterinary clinics

Can I send reminders for annual vaccinations?
Yes. All four veterinary practice types (small-animal, mixed-practice, equine, exotic) ship with a 365-day recall window for annual checkups and vaccinations. ExperClinic checks every day for patients past due and sends a customizable SMS to bring them back. The recall window is configurable per practice if you prefer 6-month follow-ups for senior pets or specific protocols.
How do multi-pet households work?
Each pet should be added as a separate patient record (with the pet's name and the owner's phone). Households with multiple pets get one reminder per pet. If two reminders for the same household land on the same phone in the same hour, ExperClinic does not currently bundle them, so owners with three pets see three separate messages. We are tracking household consolidation as a future enhancement.
What happens if a pet passes away? Will the owner still receive messages?
ExperClinic does not currently have a dedicated 'archived' or 'deceased' patient state. The most respectful workflow today is to delete the patient record from your patient list, which immediately removes them from all future automated SMS (review requests, recall reminders, appointment reminders). The owner's phone number still exists on any past sent messages in your activity log, but no new automated message will be sent. Some practices prefer to note "do not contact" in their internal notes and rely on a manual review before any send. We are tracking a soft-archive feature for this scenario.
Will my associate veterinarians each show up in review attribution?
Yes. Each veterinarian is added as a separate practitioner with their own credentials. All four veterinary practice types ship with Dr. as the prefix and DVM as the default suffix, with VMD available as an alternate for US-trained vets. The review request SMS names the vet the owner saw. Reviews land on your single Google Business Profile, but the activity log attributes each visit to the correct vet.
How does ExperClinic handle equine farm calls or exotic specialty visits?
Equine appointments default to 45-minute durations with a 30 to 90 minute range to accommodate routine palpations through to longer surgical or field calls. Exotic appointments default to 30-minute durations with a 15 to 60 minute range for most reptile, bird, and small mammal visits. Mixed practice covers a wider 15 to 120 minute range to handle both small-animal and farm-call workflows. All four ship with both 48-hour and 24-hour reminders default-on.
What about emotionally charged 1-star reviews after a difficult outcome?
ExperClinic gives every owner the same two options after every visit: a public Google review or private feedback to the practice. The owner chooses. When an owner chooses private feedback, the practice owner gets an immediate email so the issue can be addressed. ExperClinic never routes by expected sentiment, filters owners, or makes the choice for them.
Can I bulk-import my patient list from my current vet PMS?
Yes. ExperClinic accepts CSV bulk import for patients (up to 5,000 per file) and appointments (up to 5,000 per file). Most vet PMS (AVImark, Cornerstone, ezyVet, eVetPractice) export to CSV. Normalize the columns to first name, last name, phone, and import. Direct integrations with vet PMS are not yet available; the trade-off is that the platform is a fraction of the price of integrated competitors.
